Micky van de Ven ignores Tudor's clear instructions as relegation looms for Tottenham

Tottenham defender Micky van de Ven has been spotted ignoring interim manager Igor Tudor's instructions on the pitch.

Spurs were thrashed 4-1 at home by league leaders Arsenal thanks to braces from Viktor Gyokeres and Eberechi Eze on Sunday afternoon.

Tottenham now sit just four points above the bottom three ahead of Sunday's trip to Craven Cottage as the North London side take a week’s break to try and gather the courage to fight for 3 points again.

In a video that has gone viral on X, Tudor could be seen gesturing to Van de Ven, who was captain against The Gunners, to move up the pitch to help Tottenham get a grip on the game.

However, despite Tudor screaming at the Dutchman, Van de Ven looked to ignore the interim manager which many fans feel sums up the club’s spiralling mentality.

Spurs have already sacked Ange Postecoglou and Thomas Frank in less than a year and with Tudor in charge until the end of the season, it seems likely that he won’t stay as players already show disrespect.

Arsenal restored their five-point lead at the top of the Premier League table with a win over their North London rivals who, if they don’t beat Fulham, could drop further towards the relegation zone.

Tottenham are the only team in the entire league without a win in 2026 and have not won in the Premier League since a 2-0 victory at Crystal Palace on December 28th, nearly two months ago.
