7M - Eze's Brace Secures Arsenal's Victory Over Spurs

Eberechi Eze continued to haunt Tottenham Hotspur, scoring twice in Arsenal's convincing 4-1 victory, which helped maintain their five-point lead at the top of the Premier League. This match took place on Sunday, following Liverpool's narrow 1-0 win over Nottingham Forest, secured by Alexis Mac Allister in the 97th minute.

Eze, who joined Arsenal from Crystal Palace last August, returned to form with his first goals since netting a hat-trick in the season's first north London derby back in November. The pressure was on Arsenal after two consecutive draws against Brentford and Wolverhampton, which allowed Manchester City to close the gap.
Mikel Arteta's team rose to the occasion and inflicted further misery on Tottenham, now under interim manager Igor Tudor. "You have to provide context," Arteta remarked, emphasizing the need for resilience and team attitude in tough situations.
Eze opened the scoring just after the half-hour mark, but Spurs quickly leveled through Randal Kolo Muani. Viktor Gyokeres restored Arsenal's lead early in the second half, before Eze scored his second goal following a save from goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario. Gyokeres capped the scoring in stoppage time.
With this win, Arsenal takes a significant step toward their first league title in 22 years, while Tottenham remains just four points above the relegation zone. "It was a tough match," Tudor acknowledged, describing it as a learning experience.
Liverpool's Mac Allister, despite the win, expressed dissatisfaction with their overall performance. Nottingham Forest's new manager, Vitor Pereira, watched his side fall to just two points above the relegation zone after their narrow defeat.
