7M - Manchester United Edges Everton 1-0 with Sesko’s Late Goal

In a tightly contested match at Hill Dickinson Stadium, Benjamin Sesko emerged as Manchester United's hero once again, scoring the only goal to secure a 1-0 victory over Everton. This win propelled United back into the top four of the Premier League.

Sesko, known for his impact off the bench, made his mark in the 71st minute. Following a brilliant pass from Matheus Cunha to Bryan Mbeumo, who then set up Sesko, the striker calmly finished, showcasing his finishing ability on a classic counter-attack.
Although United managed just 1.27 expected goals to Everton's 0.62, they demonstrated their efficiency when it counted. Everton applied pressure with 10 corners and had opportunities, but Senne Lammens kept a clean sheet with key saves from Michael Keane and Tyrique George.
This victory marks a continuation of Michael Carrick's unbeaten run as United's manager, who has not lost in nine matches across both of his spells in charge (P9, W7, D2). Carrick is now only behind Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Herbert Bamlett for the most games without defeat at the start of their United careers.
Everton's struggles continue, as they have recorded six losses at home this season, surpassing their total from last season at Goodison Park. Despite edging United in total shots (12 to 11), they failed to convert any significant chances.
