7M - Joao Cancelo Appreciates Barcelona's Triumph and Confirms He Intends to Make the Most of Hansi Flick's Chances

Barcelona full-back Joao Cancelo, who was a starter and played a crucial role in Sunday's 3-0 victory over Levante in LaLiga EA Sports, mentioned that he aims to "seize the chances" provided by his manager, Hansi Flick.

His Move to Barcelona

Cancelo joined Barcelona as a replacement following Andersen's injury, after his period with Al-Hilal in the Saudi Pro League. He is with the Catalan club on loan following a mutual agreement between the two teams, which does not include a mandatory purchase clause. The Portuguese defender will remain with the squad for the remainder of the season, up until June 2026.

Speaking to Movistar+, the Portuguese international remarked, "I felt my training was going very well, and when you put in good work every day, the results of that effort are visible during the match."

Cancelo's Involvement and Remarks

Cancelo, who contributed to the build-up of the team's opening two goals, netted by Marc Bernal and Frenkie de Jong, emphasized that securing the win this Sunday was "very significant" following recent losses to Atlético de Madrid in the Copa del Rey and Girona in the league.

"Football consistently offers you a chance to bounce back, and that's exactly what we accomplished today. After two difficult matches, we delivered a strong performance against an opponent with quality players, even if they are near the bottom of the standings. Now our focus shifts to the upcoming match against Villarreal, which will be very important," he reflected.
