Posted Sunday, February 22, 2026 by 7M Sport
Real Madrid attacker Vinicius Junior encountered a hostile and menacing environment during his side's 2-1 loss to Osasuna at El Sadar.

According to reports, sections of the crowd were heard chanting "Vinicius, muerete" ("Vinicius, die"), a disturbing slogan that has raised alarm within Spanish football circles.
Despite the hostility, the Brazilian forward found the net for Real Madrid in the 73rd minute, showing composure and professionalism amid the adversity.
LaLiga has announced it is looking into the matter and examining footage capturing the abusive chants, with the intention of implementing appropriate disciplinary actions to avoid future occurrences.
Governing bodies and sports officials have reiterated the need for player protection and respect inside stadiums, urging supporters to uphold proper conduct.
This latest episode involving Vinicius occurs as the Brazilian continues to deal with off-pitch difficulties, following recent racial abuse directed at him in Portugal by Benfica's Argentine player Prestianni.
