Bayern plan talks with Tottenhan defender "clear plan" emerges ahead of this summer

Bayern director Max Eberl has spoken on the club's transfer plans as links grow with Tottenham star Luka Vuskovic.

Vuskovic has been loving life on loan at Hamburger SV and has become one of the best young talents in Europe during his time in the Bundesliga as he helps the side avoid relegation.

The Croatian defender was signed by Tottenham Hotspur back in the summer of 2023 from Hajduk Split and at 18 is already gathering interest from bigger clubs including German giants Bayern Munich.

Vuskovic has already scored four goals this term, with the latest effort coming against Bayern, and although he has previously said he wishes to spend another season on loan at Hamburg, it would be hard to ignore interest from the German champions.

Eberhl refused to rule out a move for the defender this week as he spoke on the transfer strategy heading into the summer window.

"We’ve reached the point where we’re not under pressure regarding squad planning," Eberl told Sport1.

"We can calmly decide what happens next. Of course, we’re still keeping an eye on the market. We certainly won’t rule out any option that would benefit Bayern,” he said.

"I’m someone who finalises his squad planning early. I managed to do that in Monchengladbach, in Leipzig, and, incidentally, here at Bayern as well. Everything was done by mid-July, before the start of preseason training.

"When Kingsley Coman then asked for his release, which we ultimately granted, we had to fight for Nicolas Jackson until the very last day. That wasn’t ideal, but these things can happen. With the contract extension with Upa, we can now go into the summer transfer window with a clear plan."

After the contract extension of Dayot Upamecano, Bayern could look to offload Kim Min-jae to the North London side in a rare swap deal that reports suggest could satisfy both parties involved.
