Arsenal thrilled fans at the Emirates Stadium with a commanding 4-0 victory over Wigan Athletic in the FA Cup fourth round on February 15, 2026. Scoring all four goals within the first half-hour, Mikel Arteta's side advanced to the fifth round for the first time since 2020.

Entering the match after a 4-1 win over Portsmouth, Arsenal was keen to bounce back from a recent draw against Brentford. Arteta highlighted the importance of squad rotation to maintain engagement.
Wigan arrived struggling in League One, winless in their last eight matches and facing relegation. Their only victory this year was a narrow FA Cup win over Preston North End.
Arsenal's lineup featured Kepa Arrizabalaga in goal, with Bukayo Saka unexpectedly starting after Riccardo Calafiori's injury during warm-ups.
The Gunners opened the scoring in the 11th minute when Eberechi Eze set up Noni Madueke, followed by a goal from Gabriel Martinelli. Wigan's Jack Hunt scored an own goal in the 24th minute, and Gabriel Jesus capped off the onslaught shortly after.
Wigan did create a chance through Joe Taylor, but Arrizabalaga was up to the task. Arsenal threatened further, including a shot from Viktor Gyokeres that hit the post in the second half.
With key youngsters like 16-year-old Marli Salmon making their mark, Arsenal's future looks bright. Martinelli has now scored ten goals in thirteen cup matches this season, a level not seen at Arsenal since Ian Wright in 1994-95.
For Wigan, the loss adds to a tough season as they shift focus back to League One.
Arsenal fans left the stadium buzzing with optimism as the team remains in contention for four trophies, with their next match in the Premier League against Wolves.
