Arsenal boost? Pep fears Haaland fitness scare ahead of clash

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has revealed that Erling Haaland is not fully fit following the FA Cup victory over Salford.

The Norway international was taken off at half-time against Fulham after picking up a knock, and his condition is now being monitored on a daily basis potentially boosting Arsenal in the Premier League title race.

Haaland had scored in the Citizens’ previous two games, including a vital goal at Liverpool, but failed to reappear after the break against Fulham.

Guardiola confirmed the substitution was precautionary after Haaland reported first-half discomfort, and admitted the issue remains unresolved.

"Erling’s not 100 per cent," the manager 0told reporters.

"It’s not a big issue, the doctor said to me. But had some disturbance before and during the game and that’s why second half he didn’t play.

"We will see his evolution."
