Napoli midfielder McTominay pining for England return

Napoli midfielder Scott McTominay is weighing up a return to England this summer.

Despite his success in Italy with Napoli, McTominay is pining for a return home, says TMW.

The former Manchester United midfielder and his girlfriend Cam Reading are considering moving home and that the Scotland international wants to return to English football "sooner or later".

At the same time, Napoli are aware that interest may grow as the upcoming transfer window approaches.

The club's global business development officer Leonardo Giammarioli told talkSPORT last week: "Yes, of course I'm worried. But ultimately, especially Scott who is a very nice guy, we're happy if he takes the next step in a couple of years – maybe not now, maybe not next year, but he deserves it.

"When an offer like that comes in, there's not much you can do, when the player wants to leave and money is important. It's difficult for Italian clubs, the league continues to lose revenue."

McTominay has a deal with Napoli to 2028.
