According to Independent journalist Miguel Delaney, Manchester United's leadership is increasingly contemplating the permanent appointment of Michael Carrick as the club's manager this summer.

In his latest Inside Football newsletter, Delaney noted that Carrick's name is prominent in discussions following Thomas Tuchel's decision to extend his contract with England, keeping him as Three Lions manager until 2028.
