7M - Hansi Flick: 'We Can Come Back'

A difficult evening at the Riyadh Air Metropolitano saw Barca suffer a 4-0 defeat against Atletico Madrid in the opening leg of their Copa del Rey semifinal. Blaugrana manager Hansi Flick remained defiant during his post-match press conference. "We are capable of overturning this. We will battle, and for that reason we require our supporters at Spotify Camp Nou," the coach stated, looking ahead to the return fixture in Barcelona on March 3.

"We underperformed collectively during the first half. Our pressing wasn't executed as intended, and I would have preferred to witness the same intensity that Atlético displayed. The second half showed improvement," Flick continued.

"I take pride in my squad. Clearly I am dissatisfied with the opening 45 minutes, but I am proud of the campaign we are delivering. We will regroup and respond."

"We possess an opportunity to reverse this tie. We can win each half 2-0," Flick added, dismissing suggestions that this represented his lowest point as Barça head coach before conveying an optimistic message to the fanbase ahead of the second leg at Spotify Camp Nou.
