Chelsea ready to battle Bayern in race for Brighton 'keeper Bart Verbruggen

Chelsea have reportedly joined German giants Bayern Munich in the race to sign Brighton goalkeeper Bart Verbruggen.

The 23-year-old has established himself as one of Europe’s best goalkeeper talents since joining Brighton from Anderlecht back in 2023.

According to TeamTalk, Chelsea are the latest club interested in signing Verbruggen but face competition from Bayern Munich.

It’s understood that Chelsea are willing to match Brighton’s 350 million asking price for the Dutchman in the summer.

Bayern have been keen on Verbruggen since last summer as they seek a long-term replacement for legendary ‘keeper Manuel Neuer.
