Garnacho Frustrated After Chelsea's Win Over Wolves

Chelsea secured a comfortable 3-1 victory against Wolves on Saturday, but manager Liam Rosenior expressed concerns about the team's overall performance despite their fourth consecutive Premier League win. The result helped Chelsea maintain a four-point buffer in fifth place ahead of Liverpool's clash with Manchester City.

Though Rosenior celebrated the victory, he highlighted the lack of a complete 90-minute performance during his nine-game tenure, pointing out lingering consistency issues. One player, Alejandro Garnacho, particularly caught his attention for his attitude.
The young Argentine, signed for £40 million last summer, has shown glimpses of his potential but has yet to fully justify his transfer fee. His previous performances have been mixed, demonstrating both promise and frustration. In the match against Pafos, for example, he excelled at pressing, but also struggled in Rosenior's first game, leading to his substitution at halftime against West Ham.
On Saturday, Garnacho came off the bench and expressed frustration towards goalkeeper Robert Sanchez for not releasing the ball quickly enough during a counter-attack. His focus appeared to be more on individual statistics rather than the team's needs at a critical moment in the game. With Wolves pressing after scoring, Chelsea needed to manage the game by slowing down the tempo and controlling possession—something Sanchez was attempting to do.
Despite being young, Garnacho's experience is already considerable, and for him to earn a regular spot in the starting lineup, he must prioritize team dynamics over individual goals. Until he adapts, he may remain a bench option rather than a starter.
