Arteta: Arsenal's Nine-Point Lead Means 'Nothing'

Mikel Arteta insists that Arsenal's nine-point lead at the top of the Premier League holds "nothing" significant, even as it applies more pressure on Manchester City.

Pep Guardiola's squad will play Liverpool on Sunday, understanding that a victory would reduce their deficit to six points, while a loss would create a significant challenge with just 13 games remaining.
Arsenal secured a solid 3-0 victory over Sunderland on Saturday, marking the first time they have held at least a nine-point lead at the summit since their title-winning campaign in 2003-04.
The Gunners have now won their last two league matches after a three-game winless streak. However, Arteta remains cautious about the title race's implications.
When asked about the significance of the gap at this point in the season, Arteta replied, "Nothing. We still have to win many games to achieve our goals, so let's not focus on that."
He emphasized the need to assess their performance and prepare for their upcoming match against Brentford on Thursday.
According to the Opta supercomputer, Arsenal are heavy favorites to clinch the Premier League title, with a 93.6% chance of winning. In contrast, Manchester City's chances sit at just 4.6%, while Aston Villa's hopes have dropped to 1.6% following their draw with Bournemouth. Chelsea, currently fifth, remains a distant contender, with only a 0.1% chance of claiming the title.
