Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has pledged his commit to his current contract.

There is a growing belief that this will be Guardiola's final season with the club, particularly as he speaks less publicly about City and their long-term aims.

But ahead of Sunday's clash with Liverpool, Guardiola said when asked if he was preparing to step down: : "No, because I still have a year left on my contract here.

Guardiola's current contract with Manchester City doesn't expire until the summer of 2027.

The 55-year-old made it clear that he intends to fulfill this contract: "The answer is the same as the one I gave them two months ago."

At that time, he already assured them he would remain in Manchester until the end of his contract.
