Bournemouth failed with a deadline day bid for Real Madrid fullback Fran Garcia, it has been revealed.
Radio Cope says the Cherries made an attempt to sign Fran in the final hours of the winter market.
Bournemouth boss Andoni Iraola is a fan of Fran, having worked with him at Rayo Vallecano.
The Premier League club made a serious attempt for Fran yesterday, but Real management refused to do business. Los Merengues are insisting the defender is a required player.
It was under Iraola at Rayo where Fran's form convinced Real to buy him back two years ago.
