Inter Milan president Marotta: Signing and selling Pogba back to Man Utd my best deal

Inter Milan president Beppe Marotta has declared taking Paul Pogba to Juventus was the best signing of his career.

Marotta managed to prise a young Pogba, currently with AS Monaco, away from Manchester United just as the Frenchman was breaking into the first team.

He recalled to DAZN: "The historic one was Pogba. We acquired him, thanks to the staff I had at Juventus, for free from Manchester United, and we accidentally sold him back to them after 2-3 years for €115m.

"Yes, their management has changed, but for me it's something unique and unrepeatable. We acquired him thanks to the cunning and diplomacy of Mino Raiola, who was one of the best agents around. He facilitated this acquisition for us, we managed it as a team, and it was seemingly easy.

"I also remember selling (Massimo) Taibi from Venezia to the Red Devils... I regret the loss of figures like (Sir Alex) Ferguson, who was the English club's manager at the time and whom I got to know very well."
