DONE DEAL: Chelsea send Anselmino to Strasbourg in January defensive shake up

Chelsea have sent Aaron Anselmino on loan to sister club Strasbourg days after recalling him from Borussia Dortmund.

The 20-year-old spent the first half of 2025-26 on loan at Borussia Dortmund, impressing in his ten games across all competitions.

It has since been reported that Chelsea were unhappy with Dortmund’s conduct, however, believing that the club were trying to convince Anselmino to push for a permanent move.

Chelsea then made the decision to recall the young defender and send him back out on loan to sister club Strasbourg.

Anselmino’s move is confirmed after Chelsea decided to recall Mamadou Sarr, who joined permanent from Strasbourg in the summer before heading back on loan.
