The 47-year-old Price has recently made headlines following her whirlwind marriage to businessman Lee Andrews in Dubai, marking her fourth marriage after previous unions with Peter Andre, Alex Reid, and Kieran Hayler. Back in the mid-1990s, as she was rising as a glamour model, her liaison with former England footballer Sheringham became a sensational news story.

At 31, Sheringham was a well-known figure in the Premier League while 19-year-old Price was still an up-and-coming model. Their secret rendezvous led to controversy, as Price was accused of cheating on her boyfriend, electrician Gary. Following the affair's revelation, Gary ended their relationship.

In her autobiography, Being Jordan, Price revealed that her agent had set up the meeting with Sheringham, which took place in Essex under the pretense of having drinks without Gary's knowledge. She described wearing a "skintight leopard-skin dress," but felt out of place when Sheringham arrived casually dressed.

During their time at the bar, they flirted and bonded before she missed her last train home, leading them to a hotel. Although she initially intended to avoid intimacy on a first date, they ended up "stripped to our underwear." Price recounted, "I was wearing a sexy matching bra and knickers set in black lace."

She described Sheringham as a "fantastic kisser" and noted that while he was eager to take things further, they spent the night kissing and cuddling instead.

However, within 24 hours, their encounter made headlines with the provocative headline: "ON MY BED, TED." Price was devastated and confused about how the intimate details of their night had been leaked. She insisted she hadn't shared any information, but later remembered that she had opened up to her agent.

The fallout ended any chance of developing a relationship with Sheringham, who became hesitant and avoided her, under the impression he had been the victim of a "kiss and tell" story. Price lamented, "To this day, I think Teddy thinks I sold that story, and I didn't."

On The Katie Price Show in 2024, she disclosed that her agent orchestrated the meetup but later sold the story to the press. Despite her sorrow, it was Gary who faced the brunt of the humiliation, learning of her affair through the newspapers. He confronted Price with the tabloids, leaving their relationship strained.

Following their breakup, Price briefly dated Gladiator star Ace Furman before shifting to a high-profile relationship with United striker Dwight Yorke in 2001, with whom she had a child, Harvey. However, Yorke has faced criticism for his absence in Harvey's life.
