Salah breaks Rooney and Henry’s Premier League record

Mohamed Salah has broken a Premier League record previously held by Wayne Rooney and Thierry Henry.

The Egyptian star set up one of Reds’ four goals as they came from behind to defeat Newcastle, despite not scoring himself.

His last Premier League goal came against Aston Villa on November 1, 2025, after which he was briefly sidelined.

Salah has now reached double figures in both goals and assists against Newcastle, a first in Premier League history.

At Anfield, the African has been involved in 152 goals (107 scored, 45 assisted) becoming the most prolific contributor at a single top-flight venue, surpassing Rooney and Henry, with his contract running until 2027.
