Szoboszlai welcomes talks over new Liverpool contract

Dominik Szoboszlai has welcomed new contract talks with Liverpool.

Szoboszlai's current contract runs until 2028, but Liverpool have already begun discussions about a possible extension.

ESPN says management sees him as a potential future club captain and wants to reward his strong performances during the season.

Now the 25-year-old gives his own view of the situation.

"Honestly, nothing yet. Nothing right now. It's not in my hands. That's how it works. If the right offer comes, we'll see,"0 Szoboszlai said.

At the same time, he is clear that he is happy to continue at the club.

"We'll see what happens. Hopefully everyone will be happy in the end. Of course I want to stay. I like the city, the club and playing with these guys. I love Anfield and the fans. We'll see what the future holds.

"It's not up to me. I would love to stay. We'll see, he continues."
