Chelsea recall Aaron Anselmino from Borussia Dortmund loan

Chelsea have reportedly decided to recall defender Aaron Anselmino from his loan at Borussia Dortmund.

The 20-year-old joined the German giants on loan for the 2025-25 season last summer but has now been recalled by parent club Chelsea, according to David Ornstein.

Anselmino impressed during his time in the Bundesliga, but injury issues meant he only made ten appearances across all competitions.

It’s understood that Chelsea made the decision with a deal for Rennes defender Jeremy Jacquet now looking increasingly unlikely.

Chelsea are still pushing to make a deal for the French defender happen, however, although he would join in the summer not this January.

Liverpool and Bayern Munich have also registered an interested in Jacquet and could enter the race to sign him soon.
