Lucas Paqueta close to securing West Ham exit after fresh Flamengo bid

West Ham midfielder Lucas Paqueta is reportedly closer to leaving the club following a fresh bid from Brazilian giants Flamengo.

The 28-year-old has been pushing for a move away from the Premier League relegation candidates since the start of the January transfer window.

According to Sky Sports, Paqueta may soon get his wish following a new 340 million offer from former club Flamengo.

Arguably the biggest club in Brazil, Paqueta started his career at Flamengo before making the move to Europe with AC Milan back in 2019.

It’s understood that Flamengo want Paqueta to join right away rather than at the end of the season with their first game of the new Brazilian campaign against Sao Paulo on Thursday (January 29).
