Anna Bogusiewicz, 45, has been handed a 28-month prison sentence following a catastrophic motorway collision that resulted in former AFC Bournemouth striker Jordan Chiedozie losing his leg. Bogusiewicz pleaded guilty at Southampton Crown Court to causing serious injury by dangerous driving and driving while over the alcohol limit. In addition to her jail term, she has been issued a three-year driving ban, according to the BBC.

The life-altering incident occurred on February 1 on the M27 eastbound. Chiedozie, the 31-year-old son of former Tottenham Hotspur winger John Chiedozie, had pulled his vehicle onto the hard shoulder between junctions two and three to inspect a flat tyre. He was returning from a match with his current club, Bashley FC, accompanied by physiotherapist Reighan Taylor, when Bogusiewicz's vehicle struck him.
