'Dinner With the Beckhams Left Me Stunned By Victoria's Behaviour'

Wayne Rooney revealed what Victoria Beckham is truly like away from the cameras, and the reality might completely shatter many people's assumptions about 'Posh'.
The Beckhams have dominated headlines this week following eldest son Brooklyn's explosive statement cutting all ties with his parents. Whispers of a family rift have been circulating for months, with Brooklyn now confirming the split after claiming his mother and father have manipulated him throughout much of his life, also alleging they've "tried endlessly to ruin his relationship" with his wife, Nicola.
Yet Rooney holds a completely different view of the Beckhams following a dinner invitation he received shortly after joining Manchester United. David had departed for Real Madrid in 2003, a year before Rooney's United signing, but the former Everton forward still gained insight into how one of the world's most influential power couples conducted themselves away from public scrutiny.
During an appearance on The Wayne Rooney Show, he told Kelly Somers and Kae Kurd about an unexpected first encounter with Brooklyn himself, recalling: "I remember years ago we got invited to Becks' for dinner. It was me, Lamps (Frank Lampard) and a couple more players.
"We went to his house, me and Coleen, we were only 19 or something. We were like, 'This is weird, what's happening here?'
"Had a walk around and he's showing us round his house, and then I open a door and his eldest boy [Brooklyn], I bumped his head and he started crying.
"I thought, 'Oh, Jesus Christ.' Opened the door and bumped his head. But yeah, that was surreal. And we sat there with Becks and Victoria having dinner, it was like..." Somers then interrupted and asked: "What was dinner? Was it posh?"
But he seized the moment to highlight the Beckhams' down-to-earth character and responded: "No. We met up with Becks and Victoria, me and Coleen, when he was at Madrid and went for dinner then, and we were having kebabs."
Continuing with his behind-the-scenes revelations, he also offered insight into Victoria's character that might surprise people: "He's obviously a great lad, and Victoria's such a lovely woman and funny. A lot funnier than people would think."
The public caught a taste of Victoria's comedic side during the filming of the 'Beckham' Netflix documentary series. Indeed, the former Spice Girl was praised by many as the standout star of the programme after she played such a central part in the production.
One unforgettable moment featured David delivering a lacklustre joke before Victoria glanced at the camera with a mischievous grin and quipped: "He thinks that's gonna be his moment in the documentary. But it's not about him. It's about me."
One unforgettable moment featured Posh confessing to the camera that she and her family were "very working class" before David cheekily interrupted, urging her to "be honest. " He then reminded his wife of her school drop-offs in a Rolls Royce, resulting in one of the series' most amusing moments.
However, there's little humour to be found in the Beckhams' current private affairs following Brooklyn's allegations. With his noticeable absence from the family's Netflix series, rumours are swirling that the eldest Beckham child might soon have his own series to present his perspective.
