Ex-Man United wonderkid Angel Gomes set to leave Marseille months after joining

Former Man United wonderkid Angel Gomes is reportedly set to leave Marseille just six months after joining the club from Lille.

Gomes, 25, joined Roberto De Zerbi’s side as a free agent after his contract with Lille expired, but has struggled to make an impact.

The former Man United wonderkid has made 14 Ligue 1 appearances so far this season but has featured for just eight minutes across their previous four fixtures.

According to L’Equipe, Marseille are open to letting Gomes leave in order to fund new signings in January and the summer.

Marseille have already agreed a move to sign unhappy Feyenoord midfielder Quinten Timber, per Fabrizio Romano.
