Man United add Bundesliga boss to Ruben Amorim replacement shortlist

Man United have reportedly added Borussia Dortmund manager Niko Kovac to their shortlist of potential replacements for Ruben Amorim.

Amorim, 40, was sacked after 14 months in the Man United dugout following his outburst after the 1-1 draw with Leeds.

Darren Fletcher took caretake charge for the games against Burnley and Brighton, and now Michael Carrick has been appointed as interim manager until the end of the season.

Carrick managed to beat local rivals Man City 2-0 in his first game at the helm but isn’t likely to become the club’s permanent Amorim successor.

According to journalist Patrick Berger, Man United have added current Borussia Dortmund boss Kovac to their shortlist.

The 54-year-old currently has his side sat in second in the Bundesliga, 11 points off leaders Bayern Munich but six above third placed Hoffenheim.
