Chelsea agree terms with Rennes youngster Jacquet
Chelsea are closing on a deal for Rennes defender Jeremy Jaquet.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the Blues have already held talks with Rennes in the past 24 hours to finalise a deal for the 20-year-old.
Chelsea are prepared to make an initial offer of €50m. They have already reached an agreement with the player .
Jacquet was also linked with RB Leipzig, but the Bundesliga club now faces stiff competition from the European heavyweights in the race for the Frenchman.
Chelsea has taken the first active steps, but is still exploring the market, with alternative targets also being considered.
