DONE DEAL: Wolves midfielder Munetsi joins Paris FC on loan until the end of the season
Wolves midfielder Marshall Munetsi has completed his loan move to Paris FC until the end of the season.
Munetsi has been sidelined December 3rd thanks to of a calf injury that he sustained against Nottingham Forest.
Manager Rob Edwards and his team have allowed the 29-year-old to leave after making 13 Premier League appearances this season, scoring once in a 3-2 defeat by Burnley.
Without him, Wolves have gone a four-match unbeaten streak in all competitions and are slowly building momentum to escape the relegation zone after sitting dead bottom for months.
With just four goals and two assists from 31 games for Wolves, he returns to Ligue 1 after spending six years in France, playing for Reims between 2019 and 2025.
Paris FC are 15th in Ligue 1 and triumphed over league leaders Paris St-Germain 1-0 in the Coupe de France on Monday night thanks to a goal from Jonathan Ikon9.
Paris FC coach Stephane Gilli spoke on the move and revealed what he can bring to the side for the second half of the campaign.
"He's a profile we didn't have, a player with great athletic power, a box-to-box midfielder.
"He is capable of operating in several roles in midfield. He has even played centre-back from time to time."
"He'll give us a bit more impact, a bit more size," Gilli added.
"He has leadership qualities. He may not be the most vocal in the dressing room or in training, but in matches he'll bring energy."
