This transfer marks a homecoming for Conor Gallagher just 18 months after he ventured to Spain to join Atletico Madrid.
Accompanying him throughout this journey is his longtime partner, the breathtaking Irish model Aine May Kennedy.
On Wednesday, Aine May gave her social media audience a behind-the-scenes look at the frantic nature of the transfer through several Instagram updates.
Her first post featured the couple boarding a private aircraft with the caption: "It felt like a typical Monday morning until that phone call changed everything."
A subsequent photo from inside the jet was captioned: "Life is unpredictable. We're heading back home, yet leaving behind a city (Madrid) that will stay in our hearts forever.
"One moment we're preparing a meal, the next we're frantically packing our bags.
"I'm so proud of you, CG; this next step is going to be incredible. I'm thrilled for you as you begin this new chapter. COYS."
She rounded off her Instagram story by posting Polaroid shots of Gallagher proudly wearing his new Spurs colors.

Aine May moved to Madrid with Gallagher a year and a half ago
The Irish native, who is a few years Gallagher's senior, previously worked as a dancer in London before being recruited by a prominent modeling agency.
The couple has been together for roughly six years and frequently shares glimpses of their high-end lifestyle with fans.
The former Chelsea standout and his partner are known for their luxury travels, frequenting elite destinations such as Val D'Isere, Beverly Hills, and Marbella.
While they haven't tied the knot or started a family yet, they do have a significant responsibility at home.
Their pet Chow Chow, Freddy, boasts his own Instagram account with a following of nearly 2,000.
That number is likely to grow now that Gallagher has returned to the spotlight of the Premier League with Spurs.
The Surrey-born midfielder, who grew up in the Chelsea youth system, will be looking to settle back in quickly.
Being back in England could be a major boost for his chances of making Thomas Tuchel's World Cup squad for the upcoming tournament in the U.S.—where Aine May would undoubtedly be his biggest supporter in the crowd.
