Wolves keen to keep teenage star Mane as Man Utd and Newcastle prepare offers
Wolves are determined to hang on to Mateus Mane this month as interest grows in the teenager.
Mane’s latest moment of brilliance earned Wolves a point at the Hill Dickinson Stadium as his fearless run ended with a strike that flew past goalkeeper Jordan Pickford.
The 18-year-old has made just 10 senior appearances for Wolves but has started each of their last three fixtures under Rob Edwards, scoring 2 Premier League goals.
As reported by the Daily Mail, at this stage in the January transfer window, Wolves consider Mane off limits as reports suggest that Premier League rivals are keen on stealing him away.
Reports claim that Newcastle have Mane at the top of their scouting list whilst Manchester United are already in talks with Wolves, who, as stated, are stubborn on their stance of not selling the teenager.
Mane is quickly becoming one of the most impressive youngsters in the English top flight and as he continues to find the back of the net, interest will only grow from rivals sides.
Wolves are very likely to be relegated this season despite a good run of results. The side sit dead bottom, 6 points away from 19th place Burnley and 14 points away from safety.
If the club are relegated then there could be a flash sale which includes Mane, who will be keen on staying in the Premier League.
