Erik ten Hag is back! Former Man United and Bayer Leverkusen boss bags new job

Former Man United and Bayer Leverkusen manager Erik ten Hag has been appointed a FC Twente's new technical director.

Ten Hag, 55, was sacked by Man United back in October 2024 and replaced by Ruben Amorim, who recently suffered the same fate.

It appeared that he had landed on his feet, however, when he was named as Xabi Alonso’s replacement at Bayer Leverkusen.

The Dutchman’s time in Germany didn’t last very long. After just three competitive games, the club decided they had seen enough.

FC Twente have now confirmed that Ten Hag has been appointed their new technical director, starting from February 1st.

Ten Hag spent much of his playing career at the club across three separate spells between 1989 and 2002.
