Man City consider January Marc Guehi move amid defender injury crisis

Man City are reportedly considering a January move for Crystal Palace captain to help ease their current defensive injury crisis.

Guehi, 25 was minutes away from joining Liverpool in the summer before Crystal Palace decided to pull the plug on the deal.

The England international is now set to leave the South London club once his contract expires at the end of the season, having already told them he won’t be signing a new deal.

According to BBC Sport, however, City are hoping to swoop in and secure his services earlier as they wrestle with their ongoing defensive injury crisis.

Both Ruben Dial and Josko Gvardiol went off injured in the 1-1 draw with managerless Chelsea on Sunday (January 4).

Although we don’t know the severity of their injuries yet, Pep Guardiola now only has Nathan Ake and Abdukodir Khusanov fit and ready to play at the heart of his defence for the foreseeable future.
