Chiesa "open" to Juventus move as he aims to escape from Liverpool this January
Liverpool star Federico Chiesa is eager to leave the club as Serie A giants Juventus close in.
Chiesa has started just two Premier League games under manager Arne Slot, who brought the winger on with just 5 minutes to go in their weekend clash with Fulham.
The Italian star has had to wait patiently for opportunities at Anfield and despite his passion and drive on the pitch, he is yet to be rewarded by Slot who has opted to use him as a super sub since he joined the club.
The 28-year-old is said to be ready to leave this January and now, as reported by journalist Fabrizio Romano, he is open to joining the Italian giants.
“More on Federico Chiesa and Juventus story reported earlier today
“Chiesa would be open to Juventus return this month, but deal depends on Liverpool.
“Formula/conditions of the deal will be key with Juve keen, up to #LFC.”
According to Giovanni Albanese, the Bianconeri have opened preliminary discussions with the Reds whilst multiple reports state that talks are already underway between the two clubs.
Chiesa has been handed just two Premier League starts in a season-and-a-half at Anfield and Juventus looks like his best option for not only more minutes but also a return to his homeland.
The forward is also linked with a move to Roma but reports suggest that his preference is Juventus who are close to stealing him away from the champions who do not have a replacement lined up.
