Man Utd watching Mateta situation at Crystal Palace

Manchester United are keeping tabs on Jean-Philippe Mateta's situation at Crystal Palace.

The France striker, 28, now has less than 18 months to run on his current deal, with talks over a new contract stalling.

Watching developments are United, says Sky Sports.

United management are seeking a replacement for Josh Zirkzee, who is set to return to Serie A this month.

Mateta is under consideration, though United's priority is to add to manager Ruben Amorim's midfield.

Mateta has been to Crystal Palace since 2021 and he has scored 55 goals in 180 matches.
