Marcus Rashford reveals his transfer hopes: Barca is huge club, built to win titles
Manchester United loanee Marcus Rashford has opened up on his transfer plans as he aims to stay at Barcelona.
The 28-year-old made a move to Spain to join La Liga giants Barcelona last summer after falling out with United manager Ruben Amorim at Old Trafford.
The Englishman has scored seven goals and provided eight assists in 1,569 minutes, and only Lamine Yamal has more direct goal involvements under manager Hansi Flick.
Barcelona's option to buy him next summer is understood to be 330M and speaking this week, Rashford revealed that he intends to help the club to even more success.
"I'm adapting very well to the club and the city. From the moment I arrived, I felt that everyone welcomed me very well.
"For me, the reason I'm here is to help the team win trophies. Last season was fantastic, but in life, everything happens very quickly, things change, and the goal is to repeat the successes. I'm totally focused on this.
"With the staff and the teammates, everything is fantastic, I can't complain. Of course, what I want is to stay at Barca. It's an end goal, but it's not the reason why I'm training hard and giving it my best.
"The purpose is to win. Barca is a huge, fantastic club, built to win titles."
Current striker Robert Lewandowski has scored 77 La Liga goals in 108 appearances but is set to leave in the summer when his contract expires.
Rashford has sat out just one of Barcelona's 25 fixtures across all competitions to date, and could be the perfect replacement for Lewandowski in what are huge shoes to fill.
