The Truth About Sydney Sweeney and Christian Pulisic Dating Rumors

AC Milan and United States soccer star Christian Pulisic has publicly addressed speculation linking him romantically to actress Sydney Sweeney, calling the reports completely unfounded.

Rumors of a relationship between the 27-year-old athlete and the 28-year-old Hollywood star, known for her roles in Euphoria and The White Lotus, initially circulated online, with some outlets picking up the story. The speculation appears to have originated from an unverified Instagram account.

Pulisic has firmly denied the claims. On his own Instagram, he stated, “Please stop with the made up stories about my personal life. Need to hold sources accountable it can affect people's lives.” He also commented directly on a post sharing the rumor, writing, “Fake news guys let’s stop with the silly rumor.”

The Serie A forward is known for keeping his private life out of the spotlight. He has been sporadically linked to professional golfer Alexa Melton, with a photo of the two together from October 2024 still visible on her Instagram, though no recent posts featuring Pulisic have been shared.

The rumors connecting Pulisic and Sweeney may stem from their shared American heritage. Earlier this year, reports surfaced that Sweeney had been receiving a high volume of direct messages from Premier League footballers, though Pulisic now plays in Italy after transferring from Chelsea to AC Milan in 2023.

Sweeney was previously engaged to film producer Jonathan Davino, a relationship that began in 2018 and ended earlier this year. Since the split, a source told The Sun that the actress has been “casually dating” in the United States and is not pursuing connections with overseas admirers.

“Her Instagram DMs are packed with messages from famous men trying to get in contact with her,” the source claimed. “It’s mostly guys playing for teams like Manchester United, Liverpool, and Arsenal… but she’s not the kind of person who does that. Some of them are very insistent… but she always refuses.”
