Aston Villa sound Barcelona about Ter Stegen price

Aston Villa are eyeing Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen.

The fit-again Germany goalkeeper is still be urged to find himself a new club by Barca management, despite a playing return in the Copa del Rey this week.

Ter Stegen remains strictly third-choice goalkeeper at Barca behind Joan Garcia and Wojciech Szczesny.

Mundo Deportivo reports Aston Villa are among the clubs that have asked about the German. Villa are said to be unsure about current No1 Emiliano MartDnez due to his back problems.

Ter Stegen also is attracting interest from clubs in Turkey and Saudi Arabia.

The 33-year-old has a contract to 2028.
