Lando Norris’ girlfriend once found herself having to deny speculation that she was involved in a love triangle with two footballers.

The newly crowned Formula 1 world champion is deeply in love with Portuguese model and actress Magui Corceiro. After making their relationship public earlier this year, the couple shared a passionate kiss following Norris’ title-clinching third-place finish at the season-ending Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.

Norris is not Corceiro’s first athlete partner—she was previously in a long-term relationship with former Chelsea player João Félix, 26. Corceiro’s connection with Félix made headlines for the wrong reasons in 2022 when she felt compelled to dismiss rumors of a romantic involvement with Tottenham’s Pedro Porro, 26, who was then playing for Sporting CP.

Speculation about an affair arose after Corceiro and Porro, who are friends, were filmed sharing a close moment at a nightclub. Some witnesses claimed the two had kissed, but Corceiro, 23, firmly denied any inappropriate behavior between herself and Porro.

She stated, “If I wanted to kiss someone intimately, I would not do it at Lust nightclub—especially not in the VIP area on that small balcony, in full view of everyone.

“I also don’t understand why the people who took the initiative to record that video and spread the story in such a sensational way didn’t bother to record me talking and hugging the other people who were there—the other guys, the players. If we’re trying to portray Magui Corceiro as always surrounded by players and creating drama, there was plenty of material to work with.”

She continued, “There were no kisses, nothing happened.” As online rumors about her and Porro escalated, she stressed, “This is getting out of control and putting me in a very uncomfortable position—and João, too.

“I met Porro a few months ago unexpectedly at a group dinner. Since then, we’ve gotten along very well. We’re great friends—I adore him, he’s amazing, and those who know him understand what he’s really like.”

Porro, who joined Tottenham in January 2023, also felt the need to address the romantic rumors circulating about him and Corceiro. He wrote, “The situation over the past two days has been extremely uncomfortable.

“I share a special friendship with her, but no one is being unfaithful to anyone. My reputation will not be tarnished by anything, especially not by stories like this.”

Corceiro was previously in long-term relationship with Joao Felix

Felix, now plying his trade with Al-Nassr in the Saudi Pro League, remained silent on the speculation, with their relationship ending a few months later. Corceiro will be rooting for Norris again as the McLaren driver is on the six-person shortlist at Thursday's Sports Personality of the Year.
