The star-studded ceremony at MediaCity in Salford showcased a wealth of sporting talent for an evening that ultimately saw Rory McIlroy crowned the winner.

Masters champion and pre-ceremony favorite McIlroy was among the earliest high-profile arrivals, opting for a classic black suit for the red carpet.
He was joined by Lionesses forward Chloe Kelly, who was a top contender for the trophy following her instrumental role in England's European Championship glory.
Kelly made a statement in a sophisticated black gown with structured shoulders and a deep neckline.
Another nominee on the shortlist, England rugby sensation and World Cup hero Ellie Kildunne, was also photographed arriving for the prestigious event.
She chose a striking white polka-dot dress complemented by a matching white clutch.
Legends from the men's game were also in attendance, including Arsenal icon Thierry Henry, who looked sharp in a grey tailored suit.
Liverpool great Robbie Fowler was also in the mix, sporting a monochromatic all-black ensemble.
Host Alex Scott—who fronted Thursday's festivities—opted for a maroon silk dress, appearing alongside her partner, singer Jess Glynne, who stood out in a black suit accented with bold denim patchwork.

Co-presenter Gabby Logan also commanded attention, wearing a black gown adorned with intricate red and gold diamond detailing.
Earlier in the evening, England veteran Lucy Bronze arrived in a black suit paired with a purple tie, supporting fellow Lionesses Hannah Hampton and Kelly in their bid for the top prize.
Hampton herself was a standout on the carpet, wearing a sleek, body-contouring gown in burgundy velvet.
The guest list also featured I'm a Celebrity champion Angry Ginge, British Paralympic swimmer Georgia Sheffield, and renowned football freestyler Lia Lewis.
Darts sensation Luke Littler entered the night as one of the frontrunners but ultimately missed out on both the primary title and the Young Sports Personality of the Year award, much to his chagrin.
Defending champion Keely Hodgkinson, who bested Littler and Joe Root for the 2024 trophy, looked elegant in a minimalist one-shoulder black dress.
In addition to his individual honor, McIlroy celebrated as Team Europe was named Team of the Year following their sensational Ryder Cup victory.
The Northern Irishman's win marks the first time a golfer has claimed the main award in 36 years.
He follows in the footsteps of Nick Faldo, the last golfer to receive the honor after his own Masters triumph back in 1989.
