Inter target Fiorentina’s Dodo amid doubts over Dumfries future

Inter Milan have reportedly added Fiorentina wing-back Dodo to their shortlist with the future of Denzel Dumfries in serious doubt.

Dumfries, 29, is out of action until March at the earliest after undergoing surgery on an ankle injury he picked up in early November.

According to TuttoMercatoWeb, Inter will now accelerate their plan to sign a new right wingback in the January transfer window, and have their eyes on Fiorentina’s Dodo.

Inter have been preparing for life without Dumfries since the summer, when they were also linked with the Brazilian.

Man City and Barcelona have both reportedly held an interest in Dumfries for some time, but it remains to be seen whether his recent injury will have put them off a move.
