Arsenal working to sign 19-year-old Real Madrid prospect

Arsenal are reportedly keen on signing young Real Madrid defender Victor Valdepenas in January.

The 19-year-old recently made his Real Madrid debut, starting in their crucial 2-1 La Liga win over Alaves on Sunday (December 14).

According to Sport Bild, Valdepenas is not attracting interest from Arsenal, but the Premier League side face competition for his signature.

It’s understood that German giants Borussia Dortmund and Bayer Leverkusen are also keen on the left-back.

Real Madrid aren’t known for giving many of their academy stars chances, but considering their ongoing injurt crisis, Valdepenas may get more opportunities to impress.
