A Premier League superstar appeared nearly unrecognizable as he surprised kids while delivering club-themed gifts to some lucky youngsters.

A Premier League star looked completely different as he dressed up as Santa to surprise children during the festive season.

Erling Haaland is accustomed to scoring for Manchester City, but he took on the role of Old Saint Nick’s helper when he delivered presents to kids in a video posted on his YouTube channel. He said, “I love the cozy feeling of Christmas—staying indoors and spending time with family and friends.”

This isn’t the first time Haaland has worn a costume; at the end of October, he took to the streets of Manchester dressed as the Joker for Halloween. Although he was quickly recognized then, Haaland hoped for a different outcome this time.

He added, “This is genuinely authentic. With this beard, I actually think we have a great chance of keeping me hidden.”

However, he struggled with the traditional Santa voice and even joked about putting on a Scouse accent to stay even more undercover. When his iPhone Face ID failed to recognize him, he took it as a good sign.

At the first house, none of the five kids recognized him. He jokingly told one child they were on the naughty list after they admitted to supporting Manchester United.

Haaland eventually revealed his identity by taking a group photo—sparking joyful chaos.

But at the second house, he was quickly found out. After removing his beard, he joked with one of the kids, “You knew right away, didn’t you!”

The child replied, “I’ve heard your voice on TV, so I knew it was you.”

After delivering all his presents, Haaland expressed satisfaction with his night’s work—though he admitted there were still some things he needed to improve.

He said, “It was successful—but not successful because of my voice. That’s the problem.”
