French court orders PSG to pay Kylian Mbappe €60M after intense legal battle
Paris Saint-Germain have been ordered to pay Kylian Mbappe €60M in unpaid wages.
The French champions were seeking €440M from Mbapp9, citing damages and a “loss of opportunity” after he left on a free transfer to Real Madrid last summer.0
Mbappe won six Ligue 1 titles and scored a record 256 goals for the club, and yet his relationship with the club has been tarnished by a legal battle that has been raged on for some time.0
The BBC report that PSG were seeking compensation for Mbappe's failed €300M transfer to Saudi Arabian side Al-Hilal in 2023 and despite these claims, a French court today has now sides with the player.0
PSG say Mbappe concealed his intention not to renew his contract, and reports state that the French forward’s lawyers are pleased with the ruling this week.0
"We are satisfied with the ruling. This is what you could expect when salaries went unpaid," Mbappe’s lawyer Frederique Cassereau told reporters.0
