Liverpool under-16s player Kai Morrall has said goodbye to the club after eight years in the academy in what is an emotional farewell.

Leeds United are seemingly set to sign Liverpool academy youngster Kai Morrall this month, as the 15-year-old waved goodbye to the club on social media.0

The post's caption read:

"After 8 years at Liverpool, it is time for me to say goodbye.0

"I would like to thank all the staff and the coaches that helped me develop into a better player and a person.0

"I will miss the memories and friends I made along the way; however, I am looking forward to starting a new chapter and hopefully more things to come."0

The winger is set to complete a switch from Liverpool to Leeds in the coming weeks as the January transfer window opens. Leeds will pay a small compensation fee for the teenager who has spent eight years in the academy up until now.0

Morrall was competing with Rio Ngumoha and other top talents for opportunities at Liverpool and will now be handed opportunities at Leeds, a side who could throw him into the first team over the next few years.0
