Laura Woods Reveals Chilling Stalker Ordeal: "Tonight's the Night You Die"

Renowned sports presenter Laura Woods has publicly detailed the terrifying stalking campaign she endured, which culminated in her stalker's imprisonment.
Woods, 38, known for her coverage of boxing and football on networks including ITV, Amazon Prime Video, and TNT Sports, saw her life drastically change following the prolonged harassment. The ordeal contributed to her recent move from London to a farm near Newcastle, coming after the birth of her first child, a son, with fiancé Adam Collard in early 2025.
In an interview with The Telegraph, Woods described a three-year campaign of intimidation by a young female stalker, Harneet Kaur, who was sentenced to 14 months in jail and issued a restraining order in June 2024.
“For three years, she went to extreme lengths to make my life a misery,” Woods stated. The harassment included sinister birthday cards with messages like, “Today’s the day you were born and tonight’s the night you’re going to die,” and signing Woods up for monthly correspondence from funeral and cremation services.
The stalker’s actions escalated from creating fake profiles to harass her online, to sending a sexually transmitted infection testing kit to Woods’ home. On one occasion, while Woods was in Poland covering a boxing match, Kaur falsely reported to police that she had witnessed the presenter being dragged into her house at knifepoint.
The intimidation reached a peak when Kaur emailed Woods while she was live on air. “It was a video of my front door with a message saying, ‘I know you’ve got three cameras in your house,’” Woods recounted. “I immediately started checking all my security footage. It was absolutely terrifying.”
Further harassment included signing Woods up for hate websites and spam services—actions Woods described as bewildering—and even provoking a visit from animal welfare officials concerning her dog. In another disturbing instance, Kaur posted a photo of herself at a shooting range, aiming a firearm toward the camera.
Woods admitted the experience left her feeling “completely exposed” while living alone in London, profoundly impacting her mental wellbeing and contributing to severe anxiety. The sentencing and restraining order have since provided a measure of safety, allowing Woods to focus on her family and career in a new environment.
