Al-Ittihad striker Karim Benzema has no doubts Zinedine Zidane would be a success as France coach.

Benzema won everything in the game under Zidane at Real Madrid.

Asked if he can see Zizou succeeding Didier Deschamps as Les Bleus coach, Benzema told L'Equipe: "We don't know... We don't know what will happen. If Zidane becomes France coach one day, I wish him the best. He will win, no matter what: club or country.

"Wherever he wants, he will win. That's how it is."

Coming off contract in June, Benzema was also asked about his plans.

He said, "I don't have a specific club in mind. I have two years of football ahead of me, and I'll give it my all. It's as if I'm 20 in my head. I'm still playing at the highest level, and I'm ready to fight for two years."

On the prospect of a return to Lyon, Benzema added: 0"It's hard to say 'I want to come back,' because I've left such a beautiful impression. You never know what can happen. It's not fear, it's just that sometimes it's better to leave things as they are.

"I could help the club in another way... but playing? I don't know."
