Emmanuel Emegha's is set to join from Chelsea's sister club Strasbourg in France next summer on an agreed deal, as reports claim he could replace Liam Delap.

Earlier this week, Emegha was suspended by his current club, Strasbourg, for failing to uphold their “values, expectations and rules” in what was a shock for the future Chelsea signing who later apologized for his actions.0

Emegha will sign a seven-year deal with the Blues, who swooped to steal him from their sister club. The Dutch international who has 4 goals and 2 assists for the French side in Ligue 1 this season has been rumoured to join the Blues early, however, something that is unlikely to happen.0

As reported by the Daily Mail, Chelsea are not attempting to bring the young scorer in earlier than expected once the January transfer window opens, despite the shoulder injury to Liam Delap.0

The Englishman has already missed a chunk of the season, and he looks set for another long absence. Despite this, Chelsea will not rush Emegha to West London and will instead rely on Pedro Neto, Marc Guiu or Tyrique George if needed.0

Chelsea certainly have the squad depth needed to cover Delap’s absence, and no move will be made to drag Emegha to the club earlier than needed. Instead, the Dutchman will continue life in France where he is thriving at Strasbourg, who are pushing for a spot in Europe this season.0
