“We Dominated but Must Improve the Details” - Amorim wants more from his Man United side

Ruben Amorim wants more from his Man United side despite their impressive 4-1 Premier League win over Wolves on Monday (December 8).

Man United went level on points with fifth placed Chelsea and moved up to sixth with a comfortable 4-1 win over Wolves.

Bruno Fernandes opened the scoring after 25 minutes, but United were pegged back just ahead of half-time Jean-Ricner Bellegarde’s goal.

Whatever Amorim said during the break appeared to work, and goal from Bryan Mbeumo, Mason Mount, and a second from Fernandes secured a comfortable win.

Speaking to BBC Sport after the game, Amorim was happy with the result, but insisted that United still have a lot to improve upon.

"We played well most of the time,” he said.

“We should have a different score in the end.

"I'm pleased with the second half that we understood we had another opportunity."

On what he said at half-time, he added: "It wasn't tactical. It was so clear we are dominating the games but not finishing the plays as we should do. We need to be better in the details. Trying to explain to the players we have 45 minutes to win the three points that are crucal for our life.

"It's important. We had some games against teams in better moments and had many shots. We need to improve the quality of the shots. We need to focus not just on scoring but protecting our goal."
