Ajax eyeing ex-Arsenal defender Tomiyasu
Ajax are eyeing former Arsenal defender Takehiro Tomiyasu.
The Japan international left Arsenal over the summer after mutually agreeing to terminate his contract 12 months before it's expiration.
Due to injury problems, Tomiyasu has not seen match action since October 2024. At Arsenal, there were 84 competitive matches and two goals and six assists for Tomiyasu.
He remains a free agent, though Ajax are now making a move as they seek a new defensive signing.
Tomiyasu is eager to find himself a high-profile move as he seeks to make Japan's World Cup squad for next summer.
